For Rent Expansion Pack – The Sims 4 

Get excited because it’s time for a new Expansion Pack for The Sims 4 franchise! This time it’s very promising as the main theme is related to renting, building multi-family homes or apartments, and living out new experiences in the life simulation game! You can already pre-order (buy) the For Rent EP but it will be available for download on December 7th, 2023 (Just before Christmas and the Holiday season!).

At the end you’ll find the official reveal trailer for the new pack, but here’s a short recap and best parts about this Expansion Pack:

1. Multi-family dwellings

The new lot type which allows to house multiple households in one lot without having to add them to your active family. For example, your family consists of a single sim which can be actively controlled by you, however if that sim lives in a townhouse or apartment complex, trailer park, or multi-family lot, you won’t be able to control the other sims. It’s definitely starting to feel like a continuation to The Sims 4 City Living which introduced the city life & apartments, however this will add more depth to gameplay and options in The Sims 4.

2. You. Can. Finally. Build. Your. Own. Functional. Apartments.

Crazy, right? You will be able to customize the exterior, change windows, build roof-top pools, and much more! Perfect EP for builders. No more fake cities or apartments on one lot, now real apartments, duplexes, townhomes are here!

3. New profession to earn money (a lot of it)?

AKA another way to earn money – become a landlord! Earn money from your real estate properties, just make sure that your reputation is good and you keep the estate looking nice & upgraded, so that your tenants don’t move out. By the way, mold is a real thing now in The Sims 4. And your sims can die from mold, too. Best to keep the house/apartment clean at all times!

4. Burglars?! Apparently! 

Is your sim mischievous, or just bored? Well, in this expansion pack they can act as burglars. Wait for the home owners to be gone, and enter their property without permission to snoop around, gather info, maybe even steal something! Just make sure that you don’t get caught!

5. New world – Tomarang

This EP comes with a new South Asian inspired world. It’s filled with vibrant homes, street food and fun opportunities! Your sims can visit the night market, go to the Spirit House, or discover animal sanctuary. 

In conclusion For Rent expansion pack is packed with content, and hopefully there won’t be too many bugs that need fixing after release. Of course new build/buy and CAS objects will be included as well, but the focus is mainly on the new lot type and gameplay. Seems fun! What do you think?
